I st PUC
The 1st PUC program at our college is designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience, laying a solid academic foundation and preparing students for future success in board exams and competitive entrance tests. All 10th-grade students applying for I PU at SIR MV are required to register for the SET Examination and attend on the specified date and timeslot. The SET Examination is conducted on predetermined dates, typically on Sundays.
After the SET exam, results are announced in batches, and parents are invited to the college to complete the admission process. The SET Exam is structured with a total of 120 marks, divided equally across four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (30 marks each). The exam syllabus aligns with the respective SSLC, CBSE, and ICSE standards.
SET Exams are held at our Shimoga, Davanagere, and Ballari campuses, and students may take the test at any of these locations, regardless of their preferred college. Scholarships and fee concessions are awarded based on SET scores, with the highest concession available from either the SET score or the board exam score, whichever is more favorable. Additionally, parent meetings are held during the SET Examination to discuss concession details for the academic year.
